Alloy Wheels replaced under warranty

For what it's worth ( in case anyone searches in the future I guess )

All 4 of the wheels on my 2007 W203 Sport Edition were showing varying degrees of corrosion (bubbling up inside the arms, or near the inside edge.)

One had a big scuff (kerbed) on one of the arms and the 2 rears also had some slight kerb marks.

I took it to the dealer this morning, he took pics of all 4 alloys, and just phoned me to say that Mercedes are replacing all 4 with new ones :bannana:

( I did get the pics taken back in March when it was serviced, but they lost them and so I had to go back today )

So pretty much perfect service this time around and very happy to have had no quibbling and all 4 being replaced under warranty

Good result - I too had my fronts replaced under warranty - took 3 hours to get the approval.

Just had mine replaced on my 2004 C270...it was a bit of a battle to get approval but I persisted and got a result...they kept saying that the wheels were kerbed so they would not consider replacing but photos clearly showed that wheels not kerbed, just corroding....MB paid 90% and I paid 10%....seemed fair to me....also took the opportunity of replacing the rear two tyres as they were down to the tread wear markers....2 new Falkens from Camskill fitted FOC by MB, so I saved fitting costs...

Don't know, but they replaced the wheels on my car 2004/54

You're right, it is three years. MB are replacing them as an act of goodwill.

They replaced all four of the wheels on my car just before the four year mark. The original offer was to meet two thirds of the cost on three of the wheels but my dealer talked them up to meeting the total cost on all four. I was well pleased with the outcome.
