Hello everyone....Need some help with my alloys!
Basically I have just fitted some 19 AMG alloys to my W209 CLK. Problem I am getting is the on the passenger side rear alloy I can hear some kind of metallic clunking noise. I assumed it was the caliper but that definitely is not catching.
The guy who helped me fit the alloys reckons one or some of the bolts might be catching somewhere in the hub, as they are shorter bolts then the original and to be honest they look like cheapish bolts to me. So he thinks they might be slighty longer in one place.
Has anyone had any problems similar to this before? I would appreciate any helps or comments..thanks.

Shorter or longer, which is it.?

The problem is that the bolt may be catching the parking brake shoes in the hub, investigate before any damage is caused.

just undo each bolt in turn and spin the wheel.

Sounds like the bolts are roo long and catching the rear handbrake cable. I had this with a couple of bolts i got with my Kleemann wheels really annoying clicking sound. Pop into a tyre/wheel centre, remove rear bolts if you are sure its coming from passenger side and either cut or grind down the bolts a bit replace and check. Hopefully the sound should have gone.

If they are AMG wheels you can get correct bolt fitment from alloywheelsdirect.

Ok thanks guys will try the advise here.

The bolts are shorter then original bolts but because they are cheapy aftermarket ones I think one or two might be slighty catching.

Even though they are shorter the wheel recesses may be shallower so allowing more bolt through.

Cheers guys, sorted the problem! Seems it was the bolts. Took it to R-tech in St albans, they supplied new bolts and had to re-thread some of the screws in the hubs as the cheapy bolts had crossed threaded them! All sorted now, appreciate your help.
