I've been thinking of trying to monetise one of my sites... but after having a read through some reviews of adsense, I'm not sure I want to use them.

Has anyone had experience with any other providers?

M.

I used Google's own Adwords on a website that I was hosting - but after 18 months it didn't generate any revenue at all.

I no longer host that particular website, nor any other: so I am not using any Ad related service.

I design websites and have never used Adwords, I don't think they work as well as SEO. My advice would be to allow your website to go up the standings naturally using keywords, meta tags etc.

J - I think you've missed the point of adsense... it's not a SEO, but an advertising provide.

You give them some space (top, bottom, sides, etc) for a little javascript, they post adverts, and then pay you a percentage of their profits... in google's case, they pay per click, some pay per impression...
