Need mechanical help...
Vito 110cdi 2003 model.
Alternator faults:
1. 4.7amp drain when switched off, chased to alternator
2. Overcharging at 16.7volts when running.
3. No battery light at all, not on ignition, nothing!!!
My guess was the regulator was knackered, but now I'm thinking it may be the positive supply to the regulator from the ignition??
It's a Bosch 90amp unit, only wire connected to it is from the starter, I guess it's grounded through the mounting bolts? I have a looped wire on the top.
I can't find a wiring diagram anywhere for this van which sucks!!
