Am i alone in thinking this is hideous??

Imagine spending nearly £1m on your tasteless 1000 bhp c0ck rocket to then find yourself left standing at the traffic lights by a fellow vulgarian in a Satsuma Somethingorother packing 1500+ bhp* that cost less than 10%* of what you squandered:

*Allegedly
I can’t imagine that the owner of the Brabus Rocket GTS would be anything other than excited to have a front row seat to watch an Xiaomi SU7 Ultra do it’s thing.

Fortunately I have no money, so my complete lack of taste has limited potential to offend others 😀

I think it’s great, although I’d be exploring other wheel options. There is no one-size-fits-all at Brabus, they’ll happily work with customers on completely bespoke specification, and that can mean making it “less” rather than “more”.

A lot of Brabus customers follow the “house” look of the cars which Brabus themselves specify for photos, publicity and social media, but they also build some sleepers which are much more subtle, especially on the outside.

One of the few things I like even more than Brabus is a coach built car - and especially a shooting brake - and the fact that Brabus are coach building cars in 2024 is genuinely something to celebrate as there are so few doing it now.

I’ll take mine in black, with silver wheels, and a two tone black and light grey interior please Constantin 👍🏻
Have you seen this one BD? I like it a lot. Not completely sold on the rear lights but still a very handsome thing.
Ooh!

Just seen they made 4 and a green one (not as nice as the McGrath one) went for €161k at Bonhams a couple of years ago. A bargain I’d say.

Oh. My. Goodness. I hadn’t even seen photos of that nevermind spotted it for sale. That is indeed a very handsome thing. I wonder how much the one you linked to sold for? That’s right up my street 👍🏻

I would very very much like one of these:

Haha, well I guess they're not confident about the looks either, or they wouldn't have photographed it in the dark. But if I was Bruce Wayne I'd have one of those for my daily runabout.
Just what I was thinking, this belongs in the batcave, locked!!

It looks fantastic IMO.

There the wheels my brother wants to put on my C63s😳

Expensive, ugly and tacky all in one go. Money can't buy taste is certainly true in this case. Nasty.
And yours for the thick end of a million quid. No thinks.

[....]

That is shocking. A Mercedes Civic type R:oops:. The sort of thing you see parading up and down the main street in Alderley Edge on a sunny day.
Brabus failing where Willy König excelled.

You know what that Maserati kinda reminds of, you know when you watch a film and there is that fat kid that is always eating chocolate

Pretty it's not, though; purposeful and thuggish-looking, certainly. That Maserati Bellagio just oozes class and good taste; that Brabus just oozes money, but no class and no taste. One for a top Russian mafia boss, perhaps?

I see from the Pistonheads comments that I wasn't the only one who looked at it and thought "BMW Clown Shoe"

Yes, it looks like a Clown Show that's been "improved" by Mansory.

Pass the bucket.

When I look at hundreds of cars out on the road today, very very few look to me to have homogeneous styling that going to last. German and Italian are still the best. Some others like one of the Korean makes are just hideous. Some Japanese are nearly as bad. And they shouldn't have to be expensive, where are the simple classy designs like a Peugeot 205 that looks like a Pininfarina effort even though it wan't.
Re above, the standout design to my eyes - and it is Japanese - is the Buck Rogers series Honda Civic. All models in any (and there was a diverse range) colour.

A relief to know I'm not the only one who thinks modern Maseratis are bulbous monstrosities.
