1992 300D
I've just been and bought my first Mercedes :bannana: a 1992 300D. I looked at a few and was going for one with 65000 genuine miles when I saw another 300D, same year, with 130,000 miles on the clock but it was a minter.

It had much much better body work, and it drove better and smoother than the 65000 miler.

I've gone and bought the 130,000 miler, for the same price as the other was going for.

Am I mad??? I'm not sleeping at night!!!

Will someone please console me and tell me 130,000 is nothing for a 300D, and that I have done the right thing!

Bob

Congratulations on your first Mercedes.:)

I wouldn't worry about the mileage aslong as it has a service history, preferably every service on the dot and by an MB dealer or a good independent garage.

MB's are built very well although there are some concerns over corrosion of the bodywork on some models. The diesel engine should be good for many more miles yet, make sure you service it regularly or more often if you can and use a good quality oil for the turbo charged engine.

Relax and enjoy! It sounds a peach. So congratulations again
