I saw an Addison Lee driver move into the slow lane on the M4 of his own volition the other night!

Also saw a few cyclists run red lights at busy London interchanges. In the dark.

I didn't think you needed to indicate at a traffic island ?

I know. I should have made a note of his reg # & sent the Head Boy @ AL a note recommending the bloke be placed in charge of their driver training prog.

I don't believe that any competent driver could ever witness such a situation.

I hereby demand that you revoke your licence and that it not be reinstated until you have successfully passed 6 months of clean drug tests, intense psychiatric analysis, and you have passed all physiological tests.

Back in the distant mists of time there was Kenny Everett who used to do impressions of some mystical person with large glasses and teeth called Janet Street Porter. It was two decades until I witnesses said Street Porter and realised that this was a well known TV host on London's TV stations. It all suddenly made sense.

I'm guessing this oft-mentioned Addison Lee is something similar and London based and therefore as northerner I need to be suitably educated as to whether he's also got big glasses and teeth and also a driver - or is perhaps a business such as a home delivery pizza chain. I'd rather it took less than two decades for it all to make sense this time round.

Seriously, it irritates me that the majority of drivers dont always indicate nowadays.
I know I'm an old fart but people dont seem to realise that it helps drivers behind them if they know where the car in front intends to go. Easing into the correct lane and then turning right, doesnt negate the need to indicate. Maybe its acceptable on the driving test nowadays!! Still used hand signals on my test.

My girlfriend is one of them lol. I feel your pain. Apparently indicators are an extra on some cars nowadays

On other cars they are fitted with a delay mechanism so that even though the driver operates the indicator stalk in good time, the lamps will only start to flash AFTER the manoeuver has been accomplished so that other drivers are aware that the move was intentional.
