Ambient lighting

Have had my 2015 E - Class for two years. I have only just noticed that the ambient lights are on permanently. Does anyone know if this should be the case? I have lights switched to auto and they are not on but ambient lighting is. Thank you.

Either my car has the same fault as yours, or it's normal

Noticed this evening the front roof ambient lighting dome flickerd then went off completely. I have the ambient set to level 4. The rear roof dome went off also. The interior roof lighting comes on when I open the doors still. Albeit a different colour lighting. Tried changing the level of ambient lighting but nothing is coming on. The door trim lighting is working as normal.

Unsure on what type of bulb or lighting system the ambient light works off.

Has anyone come across this before?

I thought it could be



the exterior light as it was just darkening over. But I'm sure the ambient



lighting is on regardless of outside lighting?

Same this evening no interior roof ambient lighting. Only on the door cards is the ambient lighting seem to be working. Any thoughts anyone?
