Gents,
I have been through my 500 sec and found amg 50.1 cams, solid lifters and machined rockers.
The car is running well and I have set the timing.
I have also replaced plugs, dizzy cap, rotor arm and checked ht leads for continuity.
The car starts and pulls incredibly well but when hot, the idle is slightly lumpy.
I have checked the injectors and seals and they are clean and pulled all plugs to recheck the gap and inspect them and they are all ok.
I have also checked for air leaks.
I don’t want to keep chasing a potential issue if the amg cams should have a slightly lumpy idle?
Also, on a side note, when I engage drive the revs do seem to get dragged down to the 500-550 range and the car does idle in park at more like 650-700.
I do get hot start problems from time to time so think I am losing fuel pressure from either a check valve or fuel accumulator but would this cause idle issues?
I would like to check the fuel system for pressures etc next also.
Any info would be great,
James.
