Are these the black rubber things that are installed on the C36? Ive got a bit of rust bubbling up behind one and am planning to remove it to try and kill the rust. Are they just glued on and what sort of glue would be suitable for reattaching it?

If one starts to become unstuck people have a tendency to remove them all, as in your other half's case, as Peter says this decision is normally speeded up by the replacement price from MB.
