The alloys that i mentioned before that i wanted to get (ones normally found on C43's 17", or E55's 18"), are the genuine ones are always with wider rear wheels? cuz there are some people on ebay selling the alloys i want, but they claim to have the same wheel size on all four... i thought the original AMG ones were like for example, 7.5J on the front and 8J on the back...

Any help would be appreciated..

I imagine genuine AMG wheels come in different widths..

The combination doesn't make them genuine of fake.

The reason i say it is cuz the ones that i have viewed, which happened to be fake, replicas or "style" alloys, all were the exact same size. However the AMG's originals that i've seen seem to always be bigger in the rear then they are in the front...

Some AMGs are staggared, some aren't.

Lots of "genuine" amg wheels on ebay sans logo....

Factory spec is to be staggered with wider rears. However you could get the narrower fronts for the rear and have them the same all round. Quite a few people did this either to have a full size spare or to allow for tyre rotation.

As stated above if someone is selling a set that are all the same width doesn't mean that they're replicas.

I have AMG IVs and my could be specified with 225s all round or 225s front and 245s rear. I have 225s all round as its more practical for tyre rotation and a spare etc.

you can still buy original AMG alloys of the same width all round, they were an option.

the staggered width were standard equipment and look better. always look for the mercedes part number on the inside and if looking for monoblock style 2, then amg engraving.

.......polished rims are also a clue as a lot of replicas don't get the polished rim right and many people can't do the AMG finish. (I did know the reason why they couldnt replicate it but I've forgotten!)

Just took a set of 18" AMG wheels off the wifes which were genuine and were staggered fit, 255 rears and 225 fronts, makes the car look more aggressive with the deep dish rears, hope that helps
