    Hi,

I have enquired with AMG in Germany about derestricting my AMG. They are able to do it, however they point out that this change is not "homologated" in the UK.

What does this mean and is it significant? Does it affect insurance etc. I have seen a number of derestricted cars for sale recently so they must somehow be able to be registered.

    thanks

    Hi,

I would imagine that insurance would be interested to know, but they will probably never find out anyway.

I am sure the warrantee will still be valid by MB UK, this is one of the main goals of AMG vehicles - serviceability.

Also note that Brabus offer the complete range of V-Max limiters in the UK for most MB's. (However some AMG’s like the SLK32 require a larger fuel pump and associated work, this was the case when the SLK32 first came out)
