AMG Engines

I am led to believe that there are approximately 40 guys who build the amg engines. Are some of these guys held in higher regard than others or are they just all faceless names on a plaque on the engine cover?

I think they just assemble parts; building relates to design, manufacture, assembly and testing, they only do the assembly part.

It's a marketing thing more than anything else.

Don't know why but whenever i see the phrase 'One man one engine!' I get a picture of a skirt-wearing, blue-faced Mel Gibson shouting it from the top of a mountain while waving a claymore around.
