AMG Exhaust tips/sleeves, replace? Refurb?

well done mate on sticking to your guns.

its probably got something to do with Mercedes selling you a whole back box rather than letting the supplier selling you some cheaper tips.

You are not going to get anywhere mate... AMG will not allow anyone else to sell parts outside of their supply chain - IMO they are right to want to protect their brand and products.

ps. we have our body shop clean them up, they come back like new... Most are not chrome so cannot be chromed... they are stainless which will never be quite as shiny as chrome.

That is exactly it Alps.....but if the milk turns out to be sour....I aint the kind of pussy to drink it! If you catch my drift! lol. What a bunch of weeds!....unhelpful weeds at that!

They are made of Stainless Steel.

Thanks Alex for that.

I'm sure there must be someone nearer. The reason i took them to Coventry was i was in the area and i had spoken to them and was very impressed, not only with there website but with there knowledge of re-chroming when i spoke to them. They posted them back in a week and they are still like new now.

Marque Restore's work is fantastic.. They have done some items for my pagoda and I was very impressed.

Dont step into their premises without rubber gloves and a face mask though! They need to invest in a dyson.

I agree that they need to protect their brand..... and there are 2 ways of doing that in my opinion....make sure the chrome (which they are, over stainless) does not peel from your product, or let me buy from your ''supply chain'' the bits I need. I am not in the habit of being ripped off to the tune of about £1500 for the sake of 4 trims. I did not ask them to do anything that would damage image or anything else.

Jay, you definateley need gloves and masks. I mentioned that I hoped they paid there staff danger money. I don't know how you could work in such a costic environment.
They did a great job, highly recommended.
