Ive been advised today by AMG Germany that the factory tour allows 15 people at anyone given time . So when we have more the price varies as they will then do 2 tours .

Can we all agree that Friday 14th March is the deadline for names & numbers , then we can ask AMG for a accurate price & confirm dates.

We are looking at this option mate ...

The Spirit of Amg which is AMG Driving Academy

Factory tour - Lunch & Guided tour for approx. 3 hours with driver & car swap . 12AMG cars 2 ppl per car .

This requires a group of 24 & if we don't get the number then perhaps look at just the factory tour ( AMG still need to confirm its free , but I agree you would expect its free to AMG owners ) .


Just noticed now on there website -its 390 Euro's for the Spirit of AMG & Ann @ AMG Germany quoted me 650Euro PLUS 19% TAX. I think I will have words tomorrow!

Right , I can confirm factory tour is free for AMG owners ( im not sure you have to prove your an owner but majority of us will be in our cars ) .

The incentive 'Spirit of AMG' is becoming a hard mission to accomplish with AMG .
They cannot confirm dates for 3rd of July or for how many people .
Possible new dates being released end of March ..which is no good to us .

So Suggestion is we get to Affalterbach the night before have a few beers & meal & then do a factory tour on its own the next day,followed by our own itinerary?

Otherwise we can jump onto Modball & join ScottishBlue

Hotel, Beer, more Beer followed by a few shots then bed
AMG Tour next day at 11am so decent recovery time followed by a steady drive down to Lake Constance
From there we can do half of the Alpine Tour, Hotel for the night and next day complete the Alpine Route and make our way back to Calais

We have confirmation that 3rd July is available for the factory tour for our group& I will need to confirm all participants & vehicles arriving on the day at Affalterbach AMG (deadline on this is Friday folks , as factory tour is limited spaces ).

Still time to get your names down & passport ticket off the missus...

ChrisA will be giving signed autographs & pics with his CLS outside the AMG Factory with his mankini on ... This trip is not to be missed folks!!
