Someone had PM'd the OP (loveday) saying they were organising something already - anyone want to step forward and admit to it?
If not then I'll happily arrange and organise the trip; but it will have to wait until next year I'm afarid due to work and other car related commitments.

OK - I have heard back from AMG, they have dates available in November otherwise it is best to push back to next year. Please bear in mind the weather conditions could cause issues, if there is a cold snap you will be required to have winter tyres fitted (this would however still apply in early 2012).

That was me, there are a few of us awaiting info about a Private Lounge day which would include an AMG factory visit so that is why I have not progressed it.
The only clear details about the Lounge day at present is the location - Ascari racetrack resort in Spain, Nov 15-18th. Last year the meeting point was the AMG factory with a flight down to Paul Ricard. AMG supply the cars.

I'd like to go as I have never been before.
I'd like to minimise the risk of bad weather, rain and the need for winter tyres etc, so next summer would be my preference.

You do realise if we planned it right we could take in Hockenheimring, Nurburgring and Spa Francorchamps as well as an AMG Factory tour. All three also have public track days for the more adventurous, now that would be a trip!

I would prefer Spring - Summer time. I don't think I will be buying winter tyres. And it would be more fun in a good weather.

Next year in the sunshine gets my vote for the AMG factory trip! I'll be happy to assist in the organisation.
But I will also sign up to the Private Lounge and look in to the details of the PL trip to the Ascari Resort - now that sounds like fun!
I presume all I need do is enter my VIN and I will be given access?

Shouldn't be a problem.
We'll just need to allocate a few days that we can attend.
I was thinking, there's no reason why we couldn't arrange 2 trips/ dates, so that those who can't attend the 1st date can do the 2nd date instead.
Just thinking out loud.
