You might try Blackpool Automotive northwest ltd, MB indie on Ashworth Road Blackpool (opposite MB dealer). I've used him many times and never found him lacking. Labour rate is £45 plus Vat and charges by half hour and he has Star. He looks after many very cherished MB's. Whether he has experience with GTS, I don't know. Largely works on his own, so busy. Might be worth calling in on him for a chat and see what you think.Hi, the first service (to me) is due on my AMG GTS. I’m in NW near Lytham and was after any indies I can trust my P&J with…don’t mind travelling a little bit. TIA
I wouldn't be going anywhere other than a main dealer for servicing an AMG GTS.
It will pay dividends when it comes to reselling.
No I wouldn't either. The problem is that I wouldn't trust OP's nearest MB dealer to deal with one, although MB Preston might be OKI wouldn't be going anywhere other than a main dealer for servicing an AMG GTS.

I can, and I'm sure the OP has his reasons, knowing the local MB dealers. Think I'd be biting the bullet and finding one further afield, even if it's Brooklands.Cant believe the question has been asked with all due respect.
MB dealer only.
If they haven’t a clue, Suggest you should put that in writing to Mercedes HQ both in the UK & Germany, Addressing your areas Of concern and what you feel is needed or required to meet your expectations.Bizarre that full MB service history is sought after by petrolheads despite numerous examples of incompetence shown by MB dealers over the years and seems like customers are just numbers for most MB dealers. Shouldn't we insist on full history at right intervals instead, regardless MB dealer or a credible specialist? I understand why for an average buyer full MB history may seem valuable though. I also get there are multiple times of average buyers in numbers than petrolheads and majority decides what's valuable when it comes to reselling.
I own a W124 and a W212 E63 and I trust my specialist with both. I do not let the local MB dealer touch neither of my cars because I am convinced that they haven't got a clue...

A GTS should in my opinion should be serviced at the Main Dealers. Some Googling and bit of Research on the Dealers rating and review in your area might not hurt prior to booking.
I’d ask another dealer re that gearbox oil change. That price is most likely a mistake. MB Carlisle are decent people from experience. Also on a serious note, that car to retain its top book value really needs a main dealer to look after it for at least the first 5/6 years. The reason I’m seeking an indie is because the Main dealer customer service in Blackpool is shocking and MB Preston quoted £4K for trans oil change…go figure!
£4k is impossible. The reason I’m seeking an indie is because the Main dealer customer service in Blackpool is shocking and MB Preston quoted £4K for trans oil change…go figure!
