Out of interest, and not meant in any way to offend, but does anyone else on here share the following with me:
When you notice wheels on somebody else's Merc, either at traffic lights, when parked up etc, you somehow immediately notice fake wheels without the stamp?!?
Don't particularly know why, but I just happen to end up noticing for some reason or the other!
Anyway, as Graham mentioned, you could probably pick up a set of used, genuine wheels for not too much more, but if that is your budget, then they will still look great.
One point to note is that genuine wheels (bought second hand) will tend to hold their value much better, are of a known quality (
some after-market wheels are not very well manufactured, in terms of strength and quality), and you may have difficulty obtaining spares in the future.
Also, best to double-check the rim size, width and offset etc (to ensure that they will fit your car!) before parting with your cash.
And as you can see in the photo, they can still look quite nice too!
Good Luck,
Will
