Might be a good bargain for someone wanting an AMG and doesn't mind the mileage too much especially if only intending to use it for weekends. Might be able to barter the price down?

It's a cat N....

Not sure if the major engine rebuild was related as it has FMBSH.

If at a main dealer, I'm not sure what actually 'get to be major' for a not major £1,100 though?

AT says it's Cat N

If it's HPI clear ie from the hpi website, I reckon the trader got the advert wrong, possibly not aware or made a mistake. If that's the case, someone's going to get a bargain, assuming it's a gooden and the trader doesn't realise the mistake.

MOT history seem like okay too.

If it really has a genuine full main dealer service history and if it really has had an engine rebuild which addressed all of the critical pending issues, then even at 115k miles it has plenty of life left.

I would want to see the details of that FMBSH and rebuild. The rebuild cost must be a mistake as even if done at home, the parts would easily exceed the £1,100 mentioned in the advert.

Anyone buying it should expect a top end rebuild now though unless they are 100% confident that it has all been full addressed. Around 100-110k miles is typically when top-end issues manifest.

Usually at least the valve buckets would be replaced, one or more variable valve timing units replaced (or aftermarket repair), and there may be some camshaft wear appearing, even if it’s slight.

The ad is gone but if this is the silver car then it was for sale on Facebook a few months ago and it’s a Cat N
