Hey Guys, this is going to be a little in depth, Full Process detail from start to finish with my methods, products, ratios etc.

To start things off.
Boris Johnson has made it official, so why the hell not stay home and so as he says😉

The car is My wife's newly acquired 2017 C250 AMG Premium plus. With 12K miles.

We bought the car last month, but it had to go back the next day due to an electrical problem.
All fixed now and collected today.

The paint and wheels are in fantastic condition, so is a good starting point, but just needs some extra TLC.
So first up today was the engine bay.
As with most cars, the bonnet is rarely opened and debris, moss, mould etc build up inside. So this has now been corrected with a full decon clean and dressing.
Straight in with the BH Sufex HD APC, 1/10, some wheel brushes, detailing brushes, a good clean, then wiped down with microfiber, blow dried, then applied Carpro Pearl at 1/3 to all the plastics and neat to the rubbers.
All the paint was cleaned with APC, panel wiped down and treated with some Carpro Elixir.

So Todays efforts

Started with a new delivery of some goodies, Bucket dollies , I made a bracket to hold them together rather than pushing 2 trolleys round.

Then Next Up. A full interior Decon Clean, this was done first with a good vacuum and a soft Detail Factory interior brush to remove the dust from the vents , speaker grills, doors etc, then cleaned with Commercial Grade antibacterial chemicals that I use on a daily basis, these are designed to kill viruses before contact. So I wiped down every surface with this using microfiber mitts, then treated the entire interior with Aenso Core.

These were cleaned with a valet pro detailing brush and APC, dried and then treated.

Then the final finish with all the trims. Aenso is a new brand, developed by Modesta. This detailed is wipe on and level over. That's it, no buffing, no streaks even on gloss black trim, and smells line Banana milkshake 😋

Its fabulous stuff buddy, that looks great

I’m settled down awaiting the next instalment buddy . Fantastic work so far , much appreciated for you to take the time to document it all , very motivating !

So , Today was wheels off decon clean, and this was probably the worst I've ever seen on a road car with only 12K miles.

Obviously the previous owner must have lived in a rural are, but I doubt if they ever had the car cleaned properly before.

So first up,
Rear wheels off,

These pictures are after an initial rinse, then realizing I had to up my game, outcomes the Citrus-pre-wash, sprayed and left to dwell, the wheel hubs, discs, calipers, arms etc all treated with BH Surfex HD, still not working, to I had to hot with Commercial grade TFR at 1/5, each wheel arch and suspension was done 3times in total, then rinsed down and treated with BH ATOM Mac, and blow dried.
20210109_155427.jpg20210109_155516.jpg20210109_155633.jpg20210109_155917.jpg20210109_155936.jpg20210109_155956.jpg

Then the fronts, no suprise here, they were just as the rears, the only saving grace was they had plastic liners.20210109_160111.jpg
20210109_160139.jpg
IMG_20210109_161328_588.jpg

Straight in with the same process as the other areas, TFR, Citrus-pre-wash BH ATOM Mac, each side done 3 times, blow dried and the sealed with Carpro Dlux
20210109_160301.jpg20210109_160320.jpg20210109_160341.jpg20210109_160400.jpg

now I know they are by no means perfect as the casting to the calipers and other areas was so bad, most likely caused by poor maintenance and too Much hi caustic TFR that had dried before rinsing.

Looks amazing

Does the end of the anti roll bar in the rear wheel well connect to the suspension strut ?

I've also done the wheels too , with some help from my wife bless her, the wheels and been refurbished before I collected it, so they didn't really need much, just a good clean, and then coated the barrels before fitting them back on.
20210109_155235.jpg

These were cleaned, with Tar remover, fallout remover, panel prep and then 2 coats of KKD R Evolve.
Faces also done aswell, and left to cure overnight.

Tomorrow's job is a full paint and glass decon clean So stay tuned.

Yes buddy, looks odd doesn't it, I too looked twice😉

WOW! Lee, very impressive, thought I was fussy with my motor, but your on another Planet! :) 👍
Thanks buddy. It's not an easy job, but very rewarding.
It blows my mind that people spend a fortune on cars and have no desire to look after them, taking it to the local wash and scratch just isn't enough.

Cheer6😉, did you find a body shop to sort your paint out?
Yes, well, sort of, when things have settled I'm taking it to Golding Barn

Started with a new delivery of some goodies, Bucket dollies , I made a bracket to hold them together rather than pushing 2 trolleys round.

I noticed Slims Detail do there own Two Bucket Dolly Bracket System. Very similar to Obsessed Garage in the States.
