I take it, that you want to retro fit one of these to your coupe?

If so, check the shelf that is already in your car, on the back of the shelf there should already be a marked section that needs to be cut out to fit the blind (this is what I did on mine). So you can probably use the shelf in your car, and just used the blind and the covering panel from the one for sale.

cheers simal, ive brought the coupe one as it was the electric one with loom, i aint sure if i will fit the whole thing, or split it and use my shelf, colour is an issue i will have to think about.

any one know where the button goes for the electric blind, is it next to the window buttons in the gap that is scored out, or next to the hazzard warning swich below the center heating vents? (or some other obscure position?)

If fitted from factory, it would be installed on the right side of the folding headrest button.

On my old car, it was 3rd from left,

Hope this helps,

Terry.

Terry:Is that your dash, can you turn the ASR off?

cheers terry, nice options on your old car,
'hay mister, what do all those buttons do?'

That looks like a manual blind though.

gurpz, the posts yesterday and last nite got a bit confusing, my bad, but i eventually brought an electric blind for a coupe with all swiches and wires. the link is in one of the other posts.
i attempted to list all the ones id seen, for other members if they wanted hem, but should really have used the same post.

Thanks, I always wanted a W124 with the complete row of switches, but I that this can only be obtained by having the lesser of the two heating options, climate control, because this gives you the recirculating button in the row of switches as opposed to one of three buttons between the directional and blower controls on the standard (and better) heating/ Air conditioning system.

Looks great dont it:bannana:

Terry.

asr swich, added by amg when upgraded?... pray, tell more...

asr swich, added by amg when upgraded?... pray, tell more...

Dont!! Im coming over all emotional.... Its something I dont really like to talk about..... because I sold it... I.....I.... used to own..... an E60 AMG Limited, there, I've gone and said it, I USED TO OWN AN E60 AMG LIMITED BUT I DONT NO MORE:(

67.000kms owned by a Swiss Dentist (or Doctor) so shorter ratio diff, being a Swiss car with (If my memory serves me well) ASR defeat switch, 40% Diff (still cant quite understand what that means) K&N Filters and I think uprated suspension (if it could be uprated from an already uprated car) I think AMG done something else to this car which I cannot remember, but I do remember looking at the invoice which came from AMG and I now wish I should have had it framed and put up on my wall to remind me of WHAT I USED TO OWN, one of only about twelve ever made and wait for it........

I OWNED TWO OF THEM, How mad am I to not even have one now:wallbash:

I know we all make mistakes..... BUT TWICE:wallbash::wallbash::wallbash::wallbash::wallbash::wallbash::wallbash:

I am looking at doing the same thing to my coupe, I have popped the volume switch out on the centre console and will be fitting the blind switch in there.

have a look at Item number: 360171141334 on ebay if u want a switch

the rear seats have to come out so you can get to the rear shelf, a lot of faffing and cutting involved.
