Android Auto

Wifes car is a 2017 GLA with Garmin sat nav. I haven't driven this car for months except moving in/out of the garage. Today it said on the central screen "Select OK to activate Android Auto"
Not seen this before but my wife has and she hits "OK". Looking on Mercedes Me in vain trying to find the instruction manual as she has now gone out with the car.
Google says it's to do with pairing the phone. Neither of our phones (both are paired to this car) was within Bluetooth range when I saw this on the display, but when wife goes in the car she always has her phone.
Car has until October in warranty, is this something I need to get sorted?
I will be grateful for any help failing which I shall have to resort to ringing the robots at MB
