Anyone else think that we need full life sentances?
Surely in cases like this there is no plausible reason to let the murderer back on the streets? Ever?
So say he does only serve 20 years, he'll be out at 36 and still have nearly 30 years (or more) of working life before retiring on a mainly state pension due to a shortened working life.. To me that's not quite right.
I have to put my right wing hat on and say throw away the keys and let him rot....
