Due to the success of the last UK Mercedes-Benz enthusiasts gathering, the next event will be a SUMMER BBQ to be held in Maidenhead, Berkshire, on Saturday 27th July 2002.

Many people suggested the summer BBQ idea at the Cotswolds meeting, and after some planning and consideration, it seems viable to hold this event.

The BBQ will only go ahead if we can reach 30 people attending, at a cost of £15 per person. This will include as much as you can eat and drink, and many Mercedes vehicles to admire! I can recommend hotel accommodation on request, depending on your price range.
Should you require a hotel, your Mercedes can be left securely overnight ready for collection the next day.

Please let me know either by e-mail, or telephone on 01628 438740 at your earliest convenience if you wish to attend, and how many people (the more the better&#33. Finances will be sorted nearer the event.

Unfortunately for me, the event will be held at my place, where there is lots of room for the cars to be near to us, together with the BBQ’s, tables and chairs and the Marquees. Hopefully in attendance will be the local MB dealer, showing off some of their new models.

I hope you can join us, and make this event even better than the last, which was a great success. PLEASE feel free to contact me for any more information. More information will be distributed nearer the time anyway.

However, PLEASE CONFIRM YOU PLACE NOW, as places are limited to 80 people.

Look forward to seeing you!!

Take care, and best regards,

Matthew.

I'm interested too.

Accommodation shouldn't be a problem because not only do I have relatives in Maidenhead, but my good friend koolvin is only down the road from there and he might let me sleep on his floor again

Go on Steve you know you want to What changes/mods have you done to your C250D since we last met? I'd like to see your 'C' again, I can't get enough of those blue tinted windows of yours and the purple paint. All the pics I have seen of your car don't do it justice, having seen it in real life.

Thanks for the compliment!...Sofar I have only added 1 switch (to turn off the display of my navigation) and I will swap rims for AMG styling III next week...nothing more, nothing less...but I did start gathering parts for some planned interior mods...

Hi Guys,

we need about 10 more people to make it happen - should be a good summer bash and we have a few new people coming too which should be good.

Let me know if you are interested - anyone that has already responded, have been added to the list.

All the best, Matt.

Matt, when is the BBQ? Thought it was the 27th July but them talk of August in the last post but one!

I am on hols on the 27th July but the 24th August would be OK for me if that became the date.

Would be good to meet you guys at some point
