Another Aldi PC Deal

It's a shame it isn't an Intel processor. I am less sure of AmD than I am with Intel but it doesn't seem that high a spec. I wish I got that original offer in January, at least that was a lot cheaper. Every time there is another Aldi Medion offer, the pundits say to expet a higher spec machine the following month or the month after. I've let two deals pass me by now and this most likely looking to be a third.

Can anyone offer any advice on this machine and where that processor sits in the AmD ranking?

the storage 1tb drive looks great value as well.

No, not for me either!

I am looking for best sub £500 deal I suppose.

Ideally i5 or i7 processor (although Intel Core 2 Qxxxx Quad Core considered at right price), 3-4GB RAM, 500GB+ HDD and Windows 7.

Good graphics card handy, but not for gaming so video and sound not important. Would like a mini tower so can add disks and card readers etc if required.

That Dell does look good for the money.

My last offering: £480 inc VAT + P&P :)

What's Windows 7 like? I've not heard anything positive so far :(

I had a look at the Aldi stuff, I could do with something a bit better but I'm quite attached to the old ThinkPad

I went for the Dell Vostro 430. A good buy so far as I can tell, I'm happy. There is still a similar offer if anyone is looking.
