Bought our youngest son a little run around so he can enhance his driving while taking lessons.
Only a Peugeot 207 for us to go practice in .
Having lost some hours at work and also doing a PHD in his spare time it seemed the right thing to do to help him out . Lessons will be fewer but journeys to work will make up for that.
With me along side of course 😊

Better than the problem we had when our son was 17 - could not get insurance for him as a learner driver on either of our cars (Rover 827 vitesse and Porsche 944S)! When the time came (7 years later) for the same with dear daughter, we'd bought an Astra Estate that we could get her insured on so was able to help. Amazing thing was that, having insured her as a learner, when she passed her test so was allowed out on her own, insurance company did not hike the policy cost, just the normal excess for a driver under 21, so the "can I borrow the car" started! Doubt you'd get that now (it was 17 years ago!!).

Ha
He knows he has no chance of driving my car at any time pass or not as do my other sons ..
You never know I may be surprised by the price of his insurance post test

My eldest learnt to drive in a 944 🤪 we had a road registered track car in his name.

Great little cars - clean design and excellent visibility.

My Mother-in-Law had one in her Eighties which served her well. Only stopped driving it because we took away her keys. (Left a trail of mangled street furniture behind her).
