Just picked up the 124 after my first visit to Olly and Jack. Went there on the advice of many forum members. Took it in 2 weeks ago for service, MOT and instructions to make it mechanically as good as it can be before taking it back to Italy at easter. Here is what they did. Sorry but its a long list
1.Major service
2.ATF and filter change.
3.MOT
4.Rear exhaust box
5.Head gasket
6.Rear brake hoses
7.Self levelling valve and rod
8.Differential bushes
9.Front anti roll bar bushes and brackets
10.Changed steering wheel
The difference is amazing. It feels much more responsive, gearchange hardly noticeable unless using kickdown and handling is much tighter.
Very professional and delightful to deal with.
They really are as good as everyone says. Very reasonable price aswell.
Thank you guys.
Nigel

What was your bill ?

Two packs of choccy hob nobs?

Just a little more than that.
It would certainly have cost a lot more at my local dealer and I am confident everything Olly said needed doing was necessary.

My bill at Olly's was half what the MB dealer quoted. And I am fairly certain that the job was done twice as good. :thumb:

Thankyou all for the kind comments.

It makes all the hard work worthwhile. :)
