Various.
Seems to me an awful lot of people are claiming their 190Es, especially the 2.6 version, are Sportline optioned when they are nothing of the sort.

Spotted so far in case anyone is looking for one of these;

J521 LOW, has none of the 3 Sportline options - Mercedes Benz 190E | eBay

J282 PPT, has none of the 3 Sportline options (& a wildly inaccurate description) - MERCEDES 190E AUTO BLUE 2.6 COSWORTH STYLE | eBay

K651 PLH, has none of the 3 Sportline options - Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.6 Sportline Auto | eBay

The J282 PPT one revised their listing two days ago and removed "Sportline" from the description btw.

Yes, I see he also removed the "V6" & Cosworth airfilter claims.

DKZ 3891 is not claimed to be a Sportline by the owner but there's talk on mercedes190.co.uk that it has a Sportline chassis. It doesn't.
1990 MERCEDES 190E WHITE | eBay

Frankly, there's more boll0cks talked about 190E Sportlines on that forum than anywhere else. Just about any car that's for sale & been lowered
will have someone pipe up that they think it's a Sportline. They of all people should really know better.

JEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZ
"If you Already looking at This car than you know How Much is The car Worth It, Please no Silly offers. Just the Wheels cost Me a Starting Price,So don't Waste your and main Time! "

Sportline this sportline that, I've had a standard and a sportline at the same time and I don't really notice any difference in the sportline what with 20 year old suspension and steering parts. Id be more bothered and be prepared to pay more money on a standard that's had a overhaul than a ropey sportline. Although I do love my sportline (even though it is for sale) :)

I've got a 2.6 Sportline as my daily thrash & the handling is in a COMPLETELY different league from a car with a standard suspension.

If you can't feel any difference from standard to Sportline suspension then I think there's something seriously wrong with your car's suspension

I own a standard 2.6 and a 2.6 Sportline. I agree with Neil - handling-wise, they are chalk and cheese. I completely replaced all the suspension on my standard 2.6 recently, and added a 16 valve rear anti-roll bar and W124 TE steel droplinks to curb some of the inherent body roll and it still doesn't handle anything like as well as either of my Sportlines.

I also agree with Neil that there's an awful lot of bo**ocks talked about Sportlines on that other forum - mainly from people who've never owned or driven one!

mmmm

for anyone who would like a nice 2.6 190E in the future (me:D) just getting the truth is not easy
i wonder if its more ignorance than deception?:dk:

some of these non standard wheels are really not very nice eh?

whilst i like 8 holes on the w124 i think 15 holes look great on the 190E

I would like to own a 2.6 190e, not bothered if its sportline. Just to play with the power. It is possible to transplant a larger engine into the 2.6 isnt it?

The 3 litre M103 lump is a straightforward swap for an extra 20+ bhp
