Another mod carried out today (DRL's) to my W163 ML

Just to add another twist to this.

I saw a new Audi the other day, approaching me head-on and wanting to turn right, across my path. As it waited in the middle of the road for me to pass, I noticed that the DRL was flashing in opposition to the indicator next to it.

As the DRLs on Audis are part of the all-in-one lamp cluster, they do this presumably because the DRLs are in such close proximity to the indicators, and being quite bright, would render the indicator otherwise invisible.

All the Audi's ive seen dimm the DRLs when the indicator is flashing

Ive noticed this on the new Audi's too and some even with the dimming of the DRL it still makes it hard to notice the indicator flashing.......

Not a very good design lay out if you ask me

Excellent bit of work. I have ordered some bulbs from Killerhertz for my first light mod.

Any more picture of the car?

Thanks'

Looks like I need to go and stand on the drive whilst somebody switches the lights on and off for me then to find out.

So I went and did this and indeed, when the main lights are turned on, so the daytime running lights dim accordingly.
