Another Outlook problem

Launch Outlook as normal, it goes to retrieve mail, then stops responding

Open Task Manager and there are two Outlooks running

Click end task and the first one closes, then click the next and it closes, then get two "Do you want to tell Microsoft" error messages?

Seems it is launching itself twice

Is this a virus

whilst outlook is retrieving mail it shows as two applications running.

Is it locking up on one particular mail server?

try removing the first account it checks from the list and see if that makes any difference

Very unlikely to be virus, more likely to be an issue with an add-in or a corrupt account.

Is this outlook 2000 per chance? Ive seen that multiple launch thing a lot with outlook 2000 , never seen it with 2003 yet.

Yup, 2000!

Ran Trend Housecall, which found a load of stuff. Was at work when the scan finished, so my wife followed the on screen prompts, and now all seems well!

Will look to upgrade to 2003 if people think that is more stable.
