I've noticed alot of R107s (mostly in the USA) with the period's "push button" climate control.
But, to my memory, I cannot think of any I've in the UK with this climate control.
I've also noticed a foot-operated parking brake and centre armrest on some European, Japanese and US cars, which I've never seen on UK examples.
Were all these options actually offered in this country?

Many thanks,

Darren

This is just an "I'd like info" thread, rather than actually looking for an R107! ;)

Yes they were, see my SEC & E500

However, hardly anyone went for these options... i suspect due to cost.

I dont know of any other SEC's with the climate option and there are very few european E500's with it.

SL - never seen one in the UK.

More popular in states as A/C is a necessity in most areas.

Hi Jay!

Yup, I know they were available on the 126 series and the 124, albeit rather rare options - my E coupe has this climate control.

I just meant the R107, as I'm yet to see a UK R107 with this climate control.
I've also noticed US 190E's and some W123s got this climate control, too!
Was it cheaper over there, or are us Brits just tight! hehe :p ;)

Well you have to consider how many R107's even came with A/C...

It was a relatively expensive option here and up until the late 80's not many other cars even had it as an option so the 80's buyer wouldnt have really seen the need for it... especially in a convertible... If it gets hot, put the roof down!

In the USA it was pretty much standard due to the climate.

My E300D Estate has the push button AUTO climate control.
