another silly question

hope you can help again.

my, new to me, 08 plate e class estate has a weird problem. when listening to the radio it keeps getting interupted with traffic reports from local stations despite the traffic announcements having been turned off.

I have done a reset of the comand but it still manages to keep the traffic reports on..

any ideas?

Somewhere there should be a TA button. Press it. Long time since I had to suffer COMAND so may well be wrong. But there will be a facility to shut it up.

iirc it's the Mute button that you press and hold that turns off the TA.

yes there is a TA button that comes up on each radio preset. every one is set to off but still the announcements interrupt the station I am listening to!! I will try the mute button.

This. On mine at least. You get a beep once held long enough.

I thought the mute button worked for the APS systems?

My 211 is pre face lift so different to the OPs but to switch off TA you press one of the buttons on the left of the COMAND screen (when in audio mode, obviously).
When TA is activated, you get the letters 'TA' in the bottom right corner of the screen next to the telephone signal strength meter.
When deactivated, the letters disappear.
