Morning guys,

Long time no speak, hope you’re all staying safe!

I’ve acquired a 2007 E320 CDi Sport Estate (V6)

Driving along the other day and under full throttle it started doing the kangaroo jumping thing.....

Had it plugged in on a snap on diagnostic reader and it showed the following:

2510 - Boost Pressure Regulator
2616 - Exhaust Back Pressure sensor
2026 - O2 sensor (positive)
2026 - O2 sensor (ground)

The car has done 155k, there is a little bit of oil seeping around the turbo inlet.

So instead of replacing just the actuator for around £100, would it be wise to fit a recon turbo and actuator for £250 ish plus labour (I have a good mechanic friend)

What’s everyone’s thoughts?

Definitely fit a complete turbo with actuator.

Sounds like you need an o2 sensor too.

The back pressure one is related to turbo.

That’s the path I was going down, there’s a company near me that does an exchange for £250 ish, thought it would be worth doing.

Had the same on my OM642. Cleaned out the black crud from the actuator with spray IPA, re-greased the worm drive with hi-temp silicone grease. All good 30,000 miles later.

A £250 turbo i'd be wary of. We have had so many issues with cheap turbos that have been supplied by customers.
