Following on from the "renting dilemma" thread which produced some very interesting replies, I thought I'd share another "strange but true" event from the last few days.

During a recent promotion, I ordered a some kitchen units from a large UK wide DIY chain.

Delivered and fitted - job done.

On Thursday I got a text message from said retailer confirming that my recent order would be delivered on Saturday morning, to my home address (which wasn't where the job had been done, but is my correspondence address).

Hmmm, thinks me - I've already had these :dk:.

Here's the obvious choices:

Tell them they have made a mistake?

Get some free kitchen units, as the mistake is their problem?

I know what I did - I just wondered what you would do, and why?

I should add that a friend of mine ordered/received an integrated fridge freezer from the same people some years ago, and a few weeks later he got a call to say his fridge freezer was being delivered that week.
He accepted the 2nd one and three years later he's still using it .

Hate B&Q with a passion, I'd say nowt and keep them. It's either that or store them for weeks till they can be bothered to pick them up

Phone them up to say you've changed your mind and can they refund the money???

I'd take delivery and donate the lot to some poor family in Lancashire.

The last time I was in Lancashire I saw a man walking down the road with a couple of big cardboard boxes and I asked him what he was doing with them.

'Moving house' he said.

Yes to Yorkshire. He wanted to fit in....
