Not sure what the 'TL' means, but do you really need XL rated tyres on the back of a CLS? XL tyres will give a harsher ride and probably more noise if you don't really need them. Check your handbook and see what's specified.
 
They arent the original wheels - it had 18"s before so not entirely sure...
 
I believe Z(R) rating is the highest @ 150+mph whereas Y is 'only' to a max of 186mph

TL used to mean a Tubeless Tyre, not sure if that remains the case, I imagine 99.9% are now tubeless?

XL also means the tyre is reinforced and able to run at higher pressures, not simply that they can carry extra weight
 
From the handbook these were the original specs for 19" tyres
285/30 ZR19 98Y XL (Extra Load)
So, the CLS always came with XL rated tyres
