Sincere congratulations , but I know from experience that this is the time parents start worrying about their youngsters going out on their own - for a while anyway .

Looked at the various options of car and insurance.

By middle of next week, she 'might' have a new Fiat 500 to enjoy.

Weirdly, the insurance on an 8yo Ford Fiesta is the same as a brand new Fiat 500 .....

They're more worried about a car load of exuberant teenagers meeting a lamp post at speed than the difference in cost between an old and new car - the latter probably has better crash protection.

Congrats to your daughter. I passed first time, and then had two crashes in one day!
