I have the usual W203 banging from the front going over rough terrain and pot holes / speed bumps etc.

Having read this forum it would appear this could be the Anti roll bar bushes.

NOW.... do i change the whole anti roll bar or can I just change the bushes?

if I can just change the bushes.. how hard is it. I am reasonably handy with a spanner!

Can i get just the bushes from MB? or is there any better places?

part number would be great..

Appreciate any help.

Dean

I changed the front anti roll bushes on my sl a few months ago. Took about ahour, and was quite straight forward.

The banging can be more than just the ARBB. Check the ARB links and the thrust arm bushes these are also ver common to cause the "banging"

if i was to replace the ARB, bushes and drop links.. which of all the parts on there would i need... brackets etc?

Thanks

sorry confused.. the amg is the same item ... yes!

so just need to order the arb, bushings and drop link?

sorry to be thick

No its me tired tonight :) Yes as far as I can see it is, you do not need the anti roll bar, only the bushes and links

so i guess from that you only ever need to change the ARB if its damaged, the banging noise (if it is indeed as thought) will be the bushes and/or links?

That is correct, the noises are a combination of the bushes and links
these parts are cheap from MB

thanks appreciate that, will get them and borrow a mates ramp!
