I’m looking to replace the front anti roll bar on my C220 W204. I can’t seem to find a replacement. My son tried to replace the bushes but the bushes are part of the anti roll bar. Anyone know where I can get one?

Can you cut off the bushes, possibly replacing them with third party polyurethane ones?

Giving them a call tomorrow. Just putting it out there as I’ve looked in different sites and no one seems to sell them.
Unsurprised.

It is a very limited market so little incentive for anyone to produce the numbers that would sell I presume.

If that were possible they would transmit a lot more vibration compared to rubber bushes.

I am sure prices will have risen but I recall paying around £55 for a new front anti rollbar for my C320 a number of years ago.

Old thread revival
Morning guys for a few months I've had a clunck under the front of my w204 ive had a look myself and couldn't find anything!
The recent mot nothing either! So I'm thinking antiroll bar bushes? (Since they can't be seen without removing the under cover the mot won't test them?)
However I'm getting mixed reports regarding these bushes! I've had someone say "that wouldn't cause what your describing "
I've also been told "the bushes can't be replaced without the full bar being replaced!"
Yet I've found numerous pepole online selling the bushes separately adamant they do fit the w204!
Can someone please clear this up?

Your problem could be caused by worn drop links.

Mercedes may have changed the design for your car, ask your dealer parts department if the bushes are available separately from the bar.

As for testing, if wear in the bushes adds to overall excess play it may still fail?

That's the problem! It passed!

Take off drop links and make sure the balljoint is not nackered.
I just had a very annoying clunky noise at the rear of my W203, everything looked fine until I took off the rear shocks, they were nackered at only 35K

Otherwise try lubricating the anti roll bar bushes with silicone spray, see if it helps
