appreciate your comments.

the colour is MAGNETITE BLACK - METALLIC FINISH (183U) not obsidian, but suspect v similar!

there is an anomaly with the service history, in that it hasn’t been serviced when it was due 9 months ago! Trying to see if this impacts the warranty. It doesn’t have performance seats and carbon bits, is this an issue?
what are servicing costs like?

I know Saxton have a bit of a reputation, but as the car is so new!

heres what it looks like!

As luck would have it there’s another black 68-reg at West Sussex Specialist Cars WSSC listed on Autotrader, and it has the performance seats and quilted leather, but no interior carbon. It’s done more miles and is a little more expensive, but at £88k it’s good value. It’s a very nice color combination too. Worth a look.

I am in a real Dilemma here. There is another one with lots of extras like Performance seats,a dynamic plus pack, and it’s in a designo red metallic which looks lovely. It’s 1 year older and a few more miles (8200) but it works out more expensive then the Saxton car on a pcp for some reason.

what to do!

Are you getting quotes from each dealer, or from a single finance company?

If a quote from each dealer then there could be all sorts of reasons for the difference: assumed value at the end of the term, term, percentage interest rate, dealer margin, etc. You need to see the written quotes for to understand the differences.

You could try a specialist supercar finance house, that way it reduces the number of variables significantly.

How much different was it compared to the Saxton car?

more than £200/month over the same terms. To be fair to Saxton their finance is actually very competitive. The worse is Mercedes own finance which cannot giveannual mileage limits less than 10k pa and theirlowest APR is ridiculously high.

yes, I get the paperwork to compare, I also have a very good contacts at Oracle And JBR capital, who are also assisting.

They are reasonably consistent to be fair, so it’s the APR which has the biggest factor. They are all PCP quotes, which I prefer over LP as there are more protections.

did you see the designo hyacinth red car I posted?

Yes I’d already seen it. Older but cheaper than the other cars you’ve seen and it has carbon and performance seats which I think you were interested in. I really like hyacinth but that looks like copper to me - either way it may not be a popular colour at resale time, and possibly accounts for the lower sticker price.

I forgot to say, the AMG Dynamic Plus package is a rare option, but in my opinion makes a big difference to the feel of the car.

In case you haven’t already got it, here’s a link to the brochure for the 2018 MY:

It featured briefly on in YouTube video posted yesterday on the ArchieHamiltonRacing channel. Looked nice too.
