And the aerodynamics of a house.

He was probly 50% throttle.:D

No full throttle but prob only 4 cylinders!! It was the 50-90mph drag (private road) that I reeled him in.

Sorry guys ...just a lightweight here ...recently purchased a 350SL R230 2007 plate and lurrrrve this car ! Its a stunner in an urban environment. But, have been an Aston admirer for years...particularly luv the interior finish and oh how the exhaust note gets ya juices flowing ! Cant wait for me lottery win and having the ability to afford a new V12 in whatever shape and DB number that comes in ! ;-)

Love Astons! If I had the spare cash, a Rapide would be sitting in my drive right now! :)

Always worth nipping over to Newport-Pagnell to take a look at the cars for sale in their very cool showroom and watch the heritage cars coming and going next door! :)

Ive been an Aston fan since I was 17 when I joined AMOC. Its a very friendly club and you don't have to own an Aston to go to their meets ( although it helps!). I bought a DB6 Volante in Pacific Blue and Tan in my 30.s (the money should have gone to a house extension by hey ho!) and it certainly didn't depreciate....far from it.I took it on the AMOC 50th European tour and that opened doors that you wouldn't believe...private c|hateau, police escorts around Reims to and from Champagne tasings , Closed road hill climbs....you get thepicture.

I sold it 15 years later and only wish I still had it, but the upkeep was in line with the value and thus beyond me

I tried a fairly new vantage last year but the auto box was absolutely unlivable with so I stayed with MB. The new DB11 with mb box etc will be fantastic when they release the Volante version.....that will trash my pension fund:D

I recently bought a £47k E63, my friend recently bought a £125k DBS.

My car does everything better than his Aston but then, we discuss panache, status and the wow factor…..I collected my coat!

Yeah the Aston does not look at home with a taxi sign as the eclass is!! Lmfao!!

Most Astons IMO are under powered as they are meant to be high performance car. But are one if not the sexy looking cars out there.

If the running cost of Astons was cheaper I'd buy myself an second hand DB9 volante in place of my E 400cab , they( Aston) are a stunning car but at the same time seem to be refined for the elderly people imo ,,

Oh they are not cheap. Mate bought one after his 996 C4S and he said the Aston cost him more than double to run (ins, fuel, servicing) and the fact he couldn't park it everywhere and ended up running a Q7 as well!!

One of the hairdressers in Mill Hill has one and it looks stunning in black. Oddly though, when he fires it up it doesn't sound as good as a Lamborghini, Ferrari, Porsche or whatever. I was a bit disappointed.

I don't know what model it is but the plate or LEE 380 is anyone wants to check.

You can get a DB9 for around £35k. If running and maintaining one wasn't so expensive then they'd be absolute bargains
