I'm looking into a new C class at the moment , probably a C350 AMG Sport Plus or similar.

Question is how do you get another colour of leather interior other than black? The car configurator only has one option.

Secondly, what goes best with white body work?

Seriously, pretty much any interior colour will go with white. Black is classic. Grey is classy.

I was hoping to be able to select beige or chestnut brown, grey would be good also.

Is the leather colour dictated by the paint colour, anyone else seen this on the configurator?

I have recently ordered an E350 with natural beige leather, but then I absolutely loathe black leather as it is far to dark and depressing

I'm pretty sure on the Sport Plus the only choice is Black. If you chose a normal sport you should be able to choose:

Sahara Beige
Cappuccino Brown
Alpaca Grey
and of course Black

but then I absolutely loathe black leather as it is far to dark and depressing

+1 - I'm not a fan of Black leather either

However on some models (especially AMG models) there isn't much choice.

Designo is probably the only other way to get a different colour choice but it's likely to cost £££

Black looks dull & claustrophobic, light grey is more subtle & elegant

I thought so in the S203, one reason why I had it retrimed. When looking at the CLS I thought I would seek one out that had a nice light 'airy' interior. Until I found the 55, the black just seemed to suit it better. the light grey examples just didn't feel 'right' :dk:

Your spot on there, had a uncles E55 for a week & must say the black suited the black...sleek....road eating beast of a machine;) coming back down to earth the grey suites my car better than black would.

Yes perhaps when you look at a picture like that, but when you are sitting in the cabin and looking out the window, who is even aware of the interior colour? :D

That does look very nice! :thumb: But somehow the 55 needs to look 'brooding' IMHO. The lighter colours work well in the 500 etc.. as more 'luxurious'?

Beige interiors always seem to have a whiff of the retirement home to me, but everyone to their own, it would be a boring world he we all liked the same thing!!

I had black in the W211 saloon, and sand in the estate. The black got very hot in the sun, and it made the car a dark place to be. The sand was great, especially with the dark blue exterior, but was a pain to keep clean.

Current one is alpaca grey - a nice compromise I think. I did like the chestnut interior too and it may have gone OK with the Indium Grey paintwork, but have no complaints so far.
