Any Comments on Mercedes Franchised Dealers? - Portsmouth Area

I have a Mercedes Tier 1 warranty on a car so have to use a franchised dealer for servicing and repairs. Has anyone any comments on franchised dealers within 70 miles of the Portsmouth area? I normally use an independent and have avoided the official dealers wherever possible, but don't have a choice this time.
Marshalls seem to have taken over, they displaced Ridgeway and have a monopoly around the Solent area.

I bought my CL from MB Gatwick in September 2016.

The sales person I dealt with was very helpful and nice. The whole dealer had the feel of a "good one" but I've not used their Service Dept.

I'm sure I heard previously their Service Dept. was good but can't remember for sure.

However, they are part of Lookers and I've used MB Tonbridge for warranty work and they were excellent - and they are also Lookers.

I use MB Gatwick and they are fine. Staff are helpful and friendly. Usual dealer caveats apply, can take their time diagnosing and fixing faults and initial prices can be steep but they will come down if you ask.
