Any ideas where the handbrake switch goes? Mercedes A160 W168 2002

I noticed a switch under the rear cup holder in my W168 and realised it was for the handbrake (after connecting the wire that had been disconnected from it, that is - obviously deliberately done by the seller [emoji23])

Anyway, I'm assuming it goes in the square hole (pictured in link), but it doesn't quite fit... Any suggestions?
