I have a new laptop and want to transfer the contents of my iPod (14Gb of music) to my new laptop - iPod is a 30Gb Video. How do I do this? The 'sync' option will delete all my iPod stuff and replace it with just my purchased music.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Either, burn all your music and video etc to a DVD and then upload it to your new laptop or, and I'm not 100% about this, if you 'enable disk use' on your iPod, you should be able to upload its contents straight to your new laptop bypassing the DVD route.

I'm sure someone will be along shortly to confirm, or not.

Thanks, I was hoping to avoid having to back up 13Gb to DVD. There seems to be a way of doing it without burning a back up, Google search confirms, but it is very confusing.

cant you connect the 2 laptops via an ethernet cable and drag and drop to the new laptop
