so i spotted this a while back..

a modern ferrari, but looked like a real classic..

what is it?

i know it is a genuine ferrari, very very classy, but is it a custom build?

but i know it is a genuine ferrari.. the car was extremely elegant, and i have never seen anything like this.. this is the only pic i could get at the time, i wish i had another one.. arghh.. but it was soo sexy..

the side profile, the doors and side vent are the only tell tale signs.. they were driving on a41, just past stanmore, in summer last year..

the driver and passenger do not look like your usual kit car enthusiast, and my hunch tells me this is a very genuine car.. could be a one off, unless someone else knows of this car?

Quite honestly I'd prefer the 550 Superamerica. The Barchetta is a gargoyle, more so with the roof erected and it hasn't been enhanced by Zagato...£1 Million or not.

This is my favourite modified Ferrari:-

Believe these were 4 of these, the only ever hatchback/estate Ferraris, made until the new FF was recently released. If memory serves they were a commission, factory build, for the Sultan of Brunei. And yes they are horrible.

...its copied the rear overhang from my E320 w210 estate!

////its a 458 I think?

It's a 456 Venice.

7 were built for the Sultan of Brunei, who then only decided to buy 6 of them (reportedly at $1.5 Millon each).

There is a silver one that lives in London (which I've seen in the flesh), it looks nicer in Silver for some reason.

I quite like the 456 Venice, but then I've always had a penchant for shooting brakes. It's usually quite challenging to turn a coupe into an estate, so there are always going to be compromises and some awkward elements, but I think the Venice works quite well.

456 shooting brake is stunning - especially in silver - possibly my ultimate favourite car

I think it worked because they decided to go the whole hog and give it 4 doors.

Most shooting brakes went for the estate back end and kept 2 doors. It was always terribly difficult to not make them hearse like. XJS Lynx eventer a prime example.

Bizarrely I stumbled across this image.

560 SEL Wagon. Back end of a 123 or 124 what do you think? It's looking more 123 to me.
