Any thoughts on this trolley jack folks ?....Seems cheap with reasonable height.

It's not ideal for large cars such as your C-class. I'd prefer a larger one for more stability myself. But if it's just to change tyres then I guess it's OK.

Looks very like mine, which is SIP or similar. OK on the MB, but even fully closed it's too tall for the 968. As Will says, OK for wheel changes or getting an axle stand in place!

Costco sells very good professional trolley jack - arcan make. height is only 9.8cm but it's very wide and stable. I bought it after dieselman recommended it somewhere and I'm very happy with it.

Looks a little like mine bought from Woolies 7 years ago for £12.50
Beats a scissors jack hands down.
I think the stability of these jacks is mainly down to the ground underneath - concrete/tarmac and dead flat. Using any jack on uneven or variable ground is just asking for trouble.

Looks like a Tonka toy to me.

As above, get down to CostCo, they do a really good 3 Ton job with lower entry and higher lift. It also has a proper size lift point with rubber pad.

My Dad uses a Cost-co jack for everyday use at his garage, he swears by it and a lot of stuff cost co sells
