Anybody, admired your motor, while your out and about? For example, I nipped into the Spar earlier, when I come back to my car, a chap was filling up at the garage, and shouted over, nice car, love the wheels, is it a C or E class, I said E, he said lovely motor, I said, thanks, I can't deny it made me feel good. :)
Makes all the effort keeping it nice, worth it.
Anyone else?

When we took our W202 to Greece we got plenty of thumbs up from the taxi drivers because it was in good nick and they liked the plate.

My 911 gets admiring glances and nods of approval because it’s 17 years old, 2 owners with 46,000 on the clock.

My Gixxer will hopefully get some looks when the Ace Cafe reopens because it’s so clean.

Our Dacia gets ignored cos it’s boring.

Some bloke was so delighted to see me approach from a different direction this afternoon that he swerved across into my lane,.

Twice.

The day I bought my E55, I pulled in to fuel up and the owner of a Porsche 911 filling up opposite me called out "Nice car"
It did put a spring in my step knowing someone else thought it a nice car.

Last summer, parked up at Sandbanks beach car park and came back to the E63 to find a couple of 20 somethings taking photos of it with their mobile phones. Got talking to them and they were a both petrol heads, one with an M3 he was considering swapping for a C63. I advised him to just do it.
They enjoyed the cold start!

Had a black W204 Classic SE, now have a black W204 Executive SE. On occasion I got (withiut asking) a 'taxi discount' at the local car wash.... is it a good thing or a bad thing?

Certainly. Enough to take it from where it was parked up at Sainsbury’s in Salford, along the East Lancs road and set fire to it on a back street in The Pool. I took it as a compliment. ☺️

The R129 (of unhappy - and expensive - memory); the E63 estate; several ladies of my acquaintance have admired the SLK too, though none have offered to sleep with me. Yet...

😳

It does indeed put a spring in your step. It’s nice when a fellow car enthusiast comments but I love it when people you would least expect say something.
Agreed. I mentioned on the forum last year. I commented on a guys M5 whilst filling up next to him at Tesco. It’s nice to be nice. ☺️

My nephews and nieces - appears they even bragged about it at school!

Many moons ago I had a Ferrari 355 GTS. I once took my wife to Brighton in it to go shopping. We parked the car in Madeira drive, right on the seafront on a sunny summer Saturday. When we came back to the car it had a crowd around it, and I had to ask people to "excuse me, please" to get near it ! I've never been so embarrassed! I didn't keep it long. It attracted a lot of attention, and I worried about it too much. Made a few quid on it though, so that was nice!

Few years back, the day I picked up my gleaming red Corrado. Whilst filling it up 5 minutes after collecting a bloke walked over and said Jesus that's a mint lovely old thing whilst running his hand over the wing.

Then said lend us a quid !!!!!

Heaps of times but not with my merc, pretty much every time i am out with my rx7 i get folks giving me the thumbs up, others shouting nice car when stopped in traffic, even pedestrians, i have come out of tesco and have seen folks taking pictures of it, there was 1 day i caught a guy in my garden taking photos of it when i nipped outside and had a 10 min conversation with him. I have also a few times when parking up had folk come up to me and ask ”can i have a look under the bonnet please” and then ask “can i take a photo”.
But by far the weirdest i have ever had was 1 day chatting to a friend in a car park 2 girls parked up walked over and started chatting to us about it and when they were leaving 1 said “that car is really sexy i would have sex with it” which we both thought was weird but very funny at the same time, after they left we had a discussion about what bit of it she actually meant! :D:D

My beach buggies always got admired and talked about because they were a bit different.
The SL63 used to get a lot of thumbs up of boy racers, which surprised me, that car was always complimented.
