Anybody brought a Comand 2.5 from eBay?

Hi,

Looking to upgrade the Audio 20 in my facelift W203 Sports Coupe, and have noticed a lot on eBay for about £500 - very attractive compared to the £2k+ from everywhere else.

Very sceptical as they are based in Lithuania, was just wondering if anyone had purchased from them as they seem to have very good feedback.

Yes search for 'Lithuania' and you will find previous threads about buying a unit from these sellers. Also a few UK sellers who sell them so worth keeping an eye on ebay.

The unit you have linked to however wont fit your car. A W203 needs a unit from the CLC which dont come up for sale as often as the other models so keep checking ebay regularly.

As npuk said, you'll need the one from the CLC - and they are rare. Check also with Alfie and Richard from Comand Online Ltd.

Comand Online will obviously be more expensive than eBay , but not by that much considering that Comand Online's units are brand-new MB units with 1-year warranty. And if they install it then you will get all telematics firmware and maps up-to-date.

Plus, they can install any add-on you may wish to have - Linguatronic, TV tuner, DAB radio, iPod connector, rear screens with remote control, etc etc.... it really depends on how much you want to spend on COMAND.
