I'm going to see this at the weekend;- Only concern is that the last service was at 72,000 Oct 2013 and she is on 90,000 now needing B service. Up till then she was only doing 7-9K per year.

When I think what a B service on my 2001 S203 C270 would have cost, I shudder to think what it would cost on that beastie - 3 figures for spark plugs alone!!

Too right, it was the wrong side of £300 for the plugs in my SLK. The B service was about £800 in total IIRC.

I personally wouldn't buy from an outfit that puts a price on the advert and then in the small print says "oh and it's another £600 for the (non-optional) warranty". Which will doubtless not be worth the paper it's written on. But maybe that's just me.

I'd also want the service carried out and Id even try and get the warranty thrown in for free !!!!! Cars of this age and engine size are harder to sell so you have plenty of tools to play with in my opinion ,,, good luck with the viewing and study hard and check for out of line panels that could be a sign of accident damage regards Jon

Haggle hard on this as its been on the market for a while.

I'd definitely get them to have MB service it. Apart from that do the usual checks and good luck

cheers all, checked with Waterhouse (local MB but service only so only £55/hour!) and service B was 369.00 inc parts!!

They looked after my C32 very well!

Looking forward to the viewing, there's another at GT performance with 59,000 miles but £12K. They do seem to be holding their price ATM
