I've seen an excellent lease deal on a BMW 125D M Sport manual. Has anyone driven or owned one, care to share their opinion?

Cheers.

A friend of mine had one on the Plant Oxford car scheme.

Performance-wise it was a hoot, but make sure you can tolerate the M Sport suspension which can be punishingly hard.

Will why you to now that ??
They drive all the same cheap and nasty!:)

The deal is cheap, for the daily drive it could be good enough.

225/months 1+23 10k

for that sort of money is really good value for money you can't knock

Had a Alpina D3 Bi-turbo..... similar specs in power.
Very nice to drive.
Pulled from tick over all the way through to 6500 redline.
Best between 1500 and 3500 - wide enough band and no lag to speak of.

I had a 123D and re-mapped it to 287BHP.

It was wickedly quick and no matter how hard i tried i struggled to get below 35mpg around the town!!!!

I test drove a 125d manual a couple of years back and thought it was a cracking little car, with one exception I couldn't live with the overly hard suspension though so I dismissed it. Drive one first if you can.

6500rpm in a diesel you sure??

I was as shocked as you. You never needed to rev it that far.
In fact a little flat after 5000rpm.

Update: I've gone for this car. I went for the 8-sp auto and 15k/yr which both adds to the premium, but it's still a very good deal when compared to the A-class for example. Delivery in March.

Should be a nice steer for the next couple of years.

I was sorely tempted by a 135, but it's overkill for commuting work really.

From the deals I've seen, it's usually cheaper to pay the excess mileage fees than building it into the deal. Did you enquire what the excess mile fees are?

I didn't check what the 10k excess mileage rate is, but for 15k it's 8ppm.

By comparison it's 15ppm for my 10k SLK.
